Located in the heart of Löttorp in Northern Öland
Löttorp is the main town in northern Öland. Along with enjoying more sunshine than anywhere else in Sweden, we offer a newly renovated and rebuilt hotel & hostel with a long history, right in the heart of the village.
Our hotel rooms have private bathrooms with a toilet and shower. Our cozy hostel rooms have shared bathrooms, and the rooms are never shared with others – you will always have the room to yourselves. Pets are welcome on request during the low season. We also offer a range of room options for families or larger groups.

Beautiful beaches are just 2 km away. Enjoy refreshing swims in the sea and sunsets over the Kalmarsund. You’ll also be close to northern Öland’s scenic golf courses and the famous Lådbilslandet. Everything is within cycling distance, including along the new bike path.
We offer bike rentals for both children and adults, available by the day or week.
At Alvaret Hotel & Hostel, we aim to create a social and relaxed atmosphere for those who want it. You’re welcome to join us for a game of kubb or croquet in our large, green garden, and sometimes we light a campfire and enjoy a cozy evening together.
At Alvaret Hotel & Hostel, we are committed to sustainable accommodation. Our electricity comes from renewable energy sources, and our breakfast includes organic and locally produced food from Öland. Our organic waste is fed to our own chickens. We use a local, environmentally certified laundry service for our bed linen and towels.
During the high season, we welcome interns from all over the world, and our team speaks several languages including English, Spanish, German, and French. This creates a warm and international atmosphere. Of course, Swedish-speaking staff are always on site.
In Löttorp, you’ll find amenities such as a grocery store (ICA), post office, pharmacy, liquor store (Systembolaget), pizzeria, and bakery. There are also restaurants such as the well-known Lammet & Grisen and Kalk, which also has a nightclub, to name a few.

Breakfast buffet
We serve a delicious breakfast buffet with organic and locally produced food every day during the season. Everyone is welcome, including guests who are not staying with us at Alvaret, subject to availability. The price for the breakfast buffet is SEK 125 per person and SEK 75 for children under ten. The selection may vary depending on the season and availability.
During the low season, we offer breakfast bags. Throughout the year, we can also provide hearty, home-cooked meal boxes. Both meal boxes and breakfast bags must be pre-ordered – please contact us for more information.
